I have been working as a cat sitter for nearly ten years, building up a delightful and varied group of feline clients with a wide range of personalities and needs. I have plenty of experience with nervous cats, cats with medical conditions, and those who simply want to be the centre of attention.
I cater to homes with single pampered pets as well as busy multi-cat households, and while I specialise in feline care, I am very happy to take care of other animals at the same time - previous bookings have seen me look after rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, fish, geckos, tortoises and snakes. (No tarantulas, please. They scare me.)
I am currently a teacher, but I have had past experience of working in a busy cattery as well as running my drop-in service. I have owned and loved cats all my life, and at the present time I share my home with four elegant, adorable and demanding felines, each of whom has a very clearly defined personality and set of priorites. Since my current four are probably enough for one house, I enjoy meeting and caring for other people's cats too! I have a knack for getting on well with most cats, whether they are easygoing, demanding or aloof, and I am happy to care for the individual quirks of your pet as you would do yourself.
Barrie is a life-long cat lover, who helps me out in emergencies, and sometimes just comes along to provide extra love and cuddling to my beloved feline clients.
Hermia is the smallest and oldest of our cats, and she is the boss. She creates a harmonious living space through constant demonstrations of authority and affection.
Andromeda specialises in providing cuddles and purrs (on her own schedule, naturally) and improving the mood of everyone around her through her beauty and sweet nature.
Ilona is a demanding but beautiful tortoiseshell Burmese. She keeps me in good training for cat mediation and multi-cat peace talks.
Apollo is our youngest and largest cat, and ensures that I stay up to date with my grooming, combing and mat-removal skills. He is a gentle giant, just as Maine Coons are meant to be.

I cannot Recommend Marianne Highly enough. My Merlin adores her and that comes from a cat that takes weeks to allow anyone new to come close. She takes the time to make sure he's happy, groomed and generally fussed over as well as making sure he's fed. This is the second booking for her to look after Merlin and I wouldn't have anyone else.
